Last week we has a literal meltdown in the office. I wouldn't have believed it unless I saw it for myself, but the batteries of the UPS failed.
During a power outage our UPS kicked in to keep the server room running. Unfortunately the power outage also shut down the cooling system. Apparently the batteries couldn't take the heat and melted.
Here are some images of the aftermath of a meltdown of our backup batteries. This is just 1 of 4 sets of batteries that bit the dust. A new UPS system is on its way.
